MENGWI
Di dekat Mengwi, beberapa kilometer di utara Tanah Lot, terdapat Pura Taman Ayun yang besar dan luas dikelilingi oleh parit yang dalam dan lebar
Pada masa lalu pura ini merupakan pura utama kerajaan Mengwi yang bertahan hidup hingga tahun 1891 kerajaan ini ditaklukkan oleh Kerajaan Tabanan dan Badung. Pura ini persona kali di bangun pada tahun 1634 dan kemudian direnovasi secara menyeluruh pada tahun 1937.
Komplek pura merupakan tempat yang sangat menyenangkan untuk berjalan-jalan berkellling terutama sebelum ramai oleh wisatawan yang datang dengan bus besar Untuk mencapai tempat ini wisatawan dapat menggunakan kendaraan umum dari terminal Ubung Denpasar ke arah Bedugul dan Singaraja dan kemudian turun di Mengwi di belokan yang menuju pura sejauh 250 m dari jalan utama.
SANGEH
Desa Sangeh terletak beberapa kilometer di sekitar 20 Km ke arah utara Denpasar. Di dekat Sangeh,terdapat hutan kera Bukit Sari.
Di hutan kera ini terdapat pura bernama Pura Bukit Sari yang memiliki patung Garuda tua. Awas, kera-kera yang terdapat di tempat ini akan melompat ke badan anda jika anda menaruh kacang di kantong dan tidak segera memberikan kepada mereka Kera Sangeh juga tekenal nakal karena suka mencuri topi kacamata dan bahkan ikat pinggang milik pengungjung.
Berjalan-jalan di kawasan hutan Sangeh terasa nyaman hijau dan teduh, kera-keranya juga cukup lucu namun terkadang sangat nakal dan tidal tahu malu.
Kawasan hutan kera ini dibuka setiap dari jam 7.30-18.30 Tempat ini dapat dicapai dengan kendaraan umum dari terminal Wangaya, denpasar Sangeh juga dapat dicapai dengan kendaraan pribadi dari Mengwi dan Ubud.
